We Have Finally Met Little Margo

We were to meet our guide in the hotel lobby and placement was set for 4:00. Of course we were there at 3:30 hoping they would arrive early. Instead, they were 20 minutes late. Each minute seemed like an eternity. The Director and the Assistant Director walked into the lobby and that is where we were placed. It was a strange place for placement as the lobby was very busy and everyone stared. Many people walked over and stood near us to hear what was being said. Margo did not want
to come to me and began to cry and pull away. The Assistant Director set her down and I was able to lure her with a toy and a treat. As soon as I picked her up, she began to cry. Mike was taken to a table to fill out paperwork and I sat there trying to console Margo while hotel guest stood and stared. It was definitely a “different” placement but we were so thrilled to finally have Margo. We decided to spend the evening in the room. She was definitely grieving and in need of consolement. We had purchased a childrens CD of Chinese music earlier that day and she really enjoyed listening to the music. She sat in our laps and looked around the room. She would cry if we put her down so we held her until bedtime. Other than crying, we have not heard her make a sound. Margo is a very, very sweet baby girl. We can’t wait to see her personality come out.
