We Are One Step Closer!

After a short flight, we landed in Nanchang, the capitol of the Jiangxi Province. Our guide told us it is a “small” capitol as the population is only two and a half million. Our daughter is a 4-5 hour bus ride away. She will be brought to our hotel on Sunday and we will be placed at 4:00!!! We cannot believe we are so close to holding her!

After checking in to our hotel, our guide Kobe, walked with us to Wal-Mart so we could purchase water and a few items we forgot to pack. One block into the walk, we saw a girl lying in the road with her crumpled scooter next to her. She had been hit by a bus. People were crowded around and we could hear an ambulance in the distance. The streets are so crowded with cars it took the ambulance some time to reach her. We felt so bad as we know this scene probably plays out multiple
times a day. We have been in 5 provinces and agree that the drivers here are the most aggressive.

We are unable to post or view our blog while in this province. Our e-mail is working if you would like to send a message.
